70 -- CONVERSION OF CANDLE CORPORATION TIERED LICENSES INTO A MIPS BASED LICENSE AGREEMENT SOL ATD-124-TA-95/0646 POC Contact Tom Antoniel, (205)544-5087 CSC intends to negotiate only with Candle Corporation (Candle) for the conversion of existing Candle tiered group level licenses into a multi-year varable MIPS based license agreement. Items to be converted at a 500 MIPS level are: Omegamon II MVS; CL/Supersession; and Omegamon II VM. At a 250 MIPS level: Omegamon II MVS; CL/Supersession; !DB2/ SMU; and !DB2/WRK. At a 200 MIPS level: Omegamon II MVS. Software maintenance support will be provided for the licensed products contained within the MIPS agreement. The terms of the agreement shall allow for the additions of new licensed products and MIPS level increases along with corresponding increases to software maintenance support over the course of the effective period of performance estimated to be 1 June 1995 through 30 September 1999. Interested persons have 15 days from the date of publication of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/ capabilities (i.e. technical specifications, brochures, and price list with proposed discounts) in the critical areas mentioned above. Such qualifications/capabilities/and pricing (with proposed discounts) will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
