A -- ENGINEERING SERVICES IN THE AREA OF MACHINERY RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, TEST AND EVALUATION (RDT&E) SOL N00167-95-R-0104 DUE 073095 POC Lynn Rowe (301) 227-1100, C. Joan Miles (301) 227-1159. The purpose of the proposed acquisition is for Engineering Services in the Area of Machinery Research and Development. The task areas shall include: (1) high power solid state electronics, (2) superconductive technology, (3) non-chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigeration research, (4) electrical machinery research, (5) materials research, (6) advanced diesel technology, (7) Submarine Fluid Dynamics Facility (SFDF) Laboratory support, (8) ship machinery test and evaluation, (9) surface ship electrical systems test and evaluation, (10) electrical power systems research, (11) measurement and analysis system development, and (12) technical program management support. The anticipated period of performance shall be from the effective date of the contract through (5) five years thereafter. It is estimated to require 230,000 person hours of effort over the entire period of performance. The RFP shall be issued on or about 30 June 1995 with a closing date for receipt of proposals 30 days thereafter.
