Guard is seeking potential sources for Convergent Technologies
Operating System (CTOS) emulation software that is compatible with
Apple System 6.x/7.x; International Business Machine-Personal Computer
(IBM-PC) compatible computers running MS-DOS version 5.0 or higher;
OS/2; Windows 3.x/NT; UNIX Workstations; and VT100 compatible terminals
that act as a client for a CTOS server. The CTOS Server Software must
be able to handle up to 20 simultaneous connections of various types
from an asynchronous line (modem or null modem cable), RS422/RS485 line
(CTOS clustershare card on PC compatible), X.25, NetBIOS compatible PC
Network, and Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
This emulation software must provide full CTOS keyboard functionality
as well as providing full CTOS screen representation of at least 25
lines of 80 column text. Examples of the applications currently running
on the Coast Guard's CTOS environment includes CTOS Office Automation
Products (OFIS), Application Development System (ADS) and PROGRESS for
CTOS. The information requested must be limited to currently
available, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware/software. No
solicitation document exists. Requests for such a document shall be
considered as invalid responses. Firms are required to address the
following in response to this sources sought: (1) a description of your
firm's capabilities that demonstrate the ability to satisfy the
requirement; (2) whether your firm is a manufacturer or regular dealer
as defined by Part 22.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations; (3)
your planned interest in this effort; (4) your firm's name, address,
point of contact and phone number; (5) firms shall indicate their
business size. No determination has been made to restrict competition
to any class of offeror, however, the anticipated Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code is 7372 and the Small Business Size Standard
is $14.5 million. Interested firms should submit a written response
within 30 calendar days of publication of this notice. Responses shall
