perform routine dockside vessel maintenance including but not limited
to the following minimum items: 1, inspect and preserve buoy deck 2,
renew paint locker weathertight door, 3, install mechanical remote
engine shut downs 4, renew port and starboard generator exhaust piping
insulation 5, overhaul and test sewage valves 6, overhaul sewage pumps
and motor assemblies 7, renew hydraulic hose assemblies 8, inspect and
repair spud handling system 9, rehabilitate cpo's and co's staterooms
10, preserve aton shop 11, clean and inspect diesel fuel and waste oil
tanks 12 clean and inspect sewage and grey water collection holding
tank 13, renew deck covering 14, provide temporary messing 15, provide
temporary berthing 16, temporary logistics. Indefinite quantity items
include bot not limited to the following: 1, welding repairs 2,
provide additional temporary messing 3, provide additional berthing 4,
ultrasonic testing 5, additional tempoarary logistics. Vessel homepier
is Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Vessel length is 100 foot - width is 24 foot.
Vessel availability schedule is 28 August 1995 for 28 days. The place
of performance is geographically restricted to the Great Lakes. There
will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a
certified check or money order made payable to the US Coast Guard for
requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for
viewing at building 400N, Governors Island, NY. The proposed contract
listed here is part of the small business competitiveness demostration
program. Plans and Specification will be issued on or after 26 May 95.
All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by
the US Coast Guard. For mimority, women-owned and disadvantage business
enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) office of small
business and disadvantage business utilization has programs to assist
mimority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to aquired
short term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
short term lending program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000.00 per contract. DOT Bonding assistance program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000.00 oer
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
