NCCOSC RDTE DIV intends to negotiate an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract for exhibit support services including maintaining, modifying, and setting up exhibits which must be customized for trade shows. The contractor will provide for storage, preparation and related graphics support, maintenance, modification, shipment by air-cushion ride equipment, set-up, tear-down, and cleaning of exhibits. The contractor must arrange for and provide electrical and telephone connections based on the needs of the specific exhibit. The GEMSYSTEM modular system in maximum configuration has 40 feet of back wall and is 10 feet wide and 7 1/2 feet high, with back-lighted panels and freestanding pedestals. The OCTANORM modular island-type exhibit in maximum configuration is 30 feet by 30 feet by 16 feet high, incorporates back-lighted show-specific graphics panels, and contains pedestals to accommodate 12 exhibitors. The contract will be for one base year and two options of one year each. Schedules are unpredictable with quick turn-around times and critical deadlines. Work may involve overtime and travel within the continental United States. The contractor shall provide sheltered facilities of sufficient size for assembly of the largest exhibition system configuration and will allow access to Government personnel for inspection and design planning. The contractor facility must be within the San Diego commuting area. A total of 1,691 estimated labor hours will be used in the base year within the following categories: exhibits specialist (supervisor), 2 material handlers, cabinet maker, mechanical engineer/designer, graphic designer, and model maker. No security clearance is necessary. the applicable Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7389 and size standard is $5 million. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
