Sources are sought for security police services to be performed at New Boston Air Force Station, Amherst, New Hampshire. The contracted police shall, as a minimum, meet the USAF Security Police policy and standards and physical condition requirements. Primary responsibilities shall be: (1) to protect priority resources; (2) to apprehend and detain violators; (3) advise violators of their rights; (4) investigate incidents, offenses, and traffic accidents in accordance with USAF directives; (5) safeguard disaster/crime scenes; (6) direct traffic; (7) issue traffic citations; (8) process Security Police forms and maintain records; (9) protect restricted/controlled areas; (10) establish and maintain a Resource Protection Program; (11) protect facilities, materiel and personnel from injury or damage and protect funds and classified information; (12) protect USAF Resources during advanced threat and emergency conditions. All personnel shall be able to obtain a favorable National Agency check performed by the Defense Investigative Service. Employees shall be authorized to bear firearms. The contract will require 24 hour, 365 day security services, including all holidays. The contract duration consists of a one (1) year basic period and will include four (4) option years. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not considered a committment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for any information or inquiry. Respondents should include a narrative identifying the scope of security services that they have contracted for within the past three years and explain how those services are commensurate with the requirements described in this synopsis. Respondents should also indicate whether or not they are a small business or a small disadvantaged business concern. A draft Request For Proposal (RFP) will be placed on the Hanscom Electronic Bulletin Board (HERBB) approximately late May or early June.
