U -- PHYSICS OF BASEBALL VIDEOTAPE PROJECT POC Kelly M. Miller, Sr. Subcontract Administrator, (510) 422-2412 The University of California, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, seeks sources for a cost-sharing partner to produce one (1) 30-minute broadcast program for PBS stations for a target audience of teenagers and adults, and two (2) 20-minute instructional television (ITV) programs on the ''physics of baseball'' (working title) for a target audience of 13 to 18 year-old students. The outcome of the research is to show how physics and science are a part of the everyday world, and that science can be found in everything. Prospective sources should have personnel experienced in children's programming and production. Additionally, prospective sources should: (1) have a proven record of achievement, as measured by awards received in the area of programming, preferably children's programming; (2) an on-site production studio; (3) preferably be within driving distance to the Laboratory and (4) have two (2) samples of children's science productions. Interested firms should respond with a description of qualifications with respect to the foregoing or related fields. The small business size standard applicable to the proposed acquisition is $21.5 Million annual receipts Firms qualifying as a small business with respect to this standard should so state. Responses are required on or before May 25, 1995. Firms responding to this announcement which fail to provide the required information will not be considered for inclusion into any resulting source list.
