This project consists of construction of the Klein Station, Spring,
Texas. The land is located at the southeast corner of Lovetta Road and
Squyres Road in Spring, Harris County, Texas. The building consists of
a one-story facility which will contain approximately 26,583 adjusted
gross interior square feet. The building will have a concrete
foundation; piers; steel structure; paving; brick veneer exterior; full
postal store; built-up roof; storefront; tile floor; VCT floor and full
truck dock. Estimated cost range $1,800,000 - $2,000,000 and
construction time is 300 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit
their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and
Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress
payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority
business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total
value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all
proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100%
Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this
office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on June 8, 1995.
Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on May
8, 1995 at a cost of $75.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check
or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded to
Thompson Nelson Cardenal Inc., 7660 Woodway, Suite 580, Houston, TX
77063-1528, Telephone: 713/226-7250. Checks or money orders must be
made payable to THOMPSON NELSON CARDENAL INC. Since this is a request
for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers
received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer,
orrelative standing of offeror will not be disclosed to anyone until
after award of a contract is made and the request is submitted in
writing. Plans may beinspected at the issuing office and any questions
and/or information regardingthis solicitation may be obtained by

by one of the methods offered by the U.S. Postal Service (First Class,
