The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Work and materials include 6,870 cubic yards of excavation; 2,085 cubic yards of compacted fill; 1,340 tons of 30-inch layer and 230 tons of 15-inch layer riprap; 460 tons of 9-inch bedding material; 585 square yards of erosion control mat; 475 square yards of geotextile fabric; 1.6 acres of debris removal; 90 acres of vegetation removal and re-establishment; and wasting 4,785 cubic yards of soil. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a May 25, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
