from existing 100 ton, (two each) McQuay chillers. The existing
chillers shall be thoroughly purged and cleaned of any traces of the
existing refrigerant and lubricating oil. The compressors shall be
opened and the gear set and impeller changed, reassemble the
compressor, leak test, evacuate and recharge the each unit with
HFC-134a and an ester based refrigerant system oil. The chillers shall
be started, all controls shall be recalibrated and the chiller shall
be redocumented to reflect the conversion modifications. All work shall
be performed by a McQuay/Snyder General qualified vendor or by a
Contractor factory trained by McQuay. In addition, contractor shall
provide materials and labor to install oxygen monitor/alarm, controls,
control wiring and interlocks to accomplish the following: Initiate a
local tone alert alarm (110 db)(alarm to clear by reset but conditions
returned to normal) and activate warning signal lights inside and
outside of mechanical room; Provide ventilator purge fan intake and
relief dampers as indicated such that the fan will start upon
activation of the oxygen sensor and continue to run until after the
alarm condition has cleared or been reset; Provide conduit, wiring,
relays and contacts necessary to interlock the train with the new
oxygen monitor alarm such that if alarm is activated, the boiler gas
train controls interlock will close all automatic gas valves so that
there are no flames associated with either of the two existing gas
boilers including pilots, if any; Provide full one year warranty on all
parts and labor associated with the project. Period of performance is
one hundred fifty (150) calendar days. Estimated range of the project
is $100,000 to $250,000. This acquisition is acquisition is issued
pursuant to the ''Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988''
and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program; therefore, this solicitation is
unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1711. Small
business size standard is average annual receipts for the previous
three fiscal years cannot exceed $7 million. All responsible concerns
may request a bid by submitting a nonrefundable charge in the amount of
$25.00. This must be in the form of a money order, certified or
cashier's check made payable to the Defense Accounting Office for each
