This project includes all plant, labor, equipment, materials and performance of all operations necessary for the construction of Type III Hydrant System on McConnell AFB. Work includes compaction of project includes includes installation of a back pressure control and defuel flush valves, return venturi, pressure indicating and differential pressure transmitters and new control scheme to minimize pressure surges. Provides isolation to bomber lateral, raises operator handles in isolation valve pits, and corrects drain deficiencies on the tanker lateral. Replaces 10 fuel pumps and associated piping. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0022 is 25 May 95. Tentative opening date is 26 June 95. Performance period will be 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Standard Classification Code is 1711. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantage Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 calendar days of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored.
