The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, and equipment necessary to enclose an existing 508-foot long open dock. Examples of work include such items as: brick (to match existing facade) over concrete masonry units, powered overhead sectional doors with vision panels, several personnel doors - one at a ramp and one at a new stairway from the pavement up to the dock elevation, new PVC strip door, dock truck seals, new ceiling fans and dock doors powered from two new electrical panels, numerous sprinkler heads to be lowered, pavement re-striping. Note that the dock is comprised of fourteen 36-foot wide bays. Work can only be done in two adjacent pays at a time, since the majority of the dock must remain operational 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Drawings and specifications will be provided as part of the solicitation package. The estimated cost range is between $215,000 and $285,000. There will not be a formal preproposal conference.
