Z -- CLOSURE OF BASE WATER WELLS, 7, 8 AND 9, CASTLE AFB CA Sol F04604-95-B-0010. Due 070595. POC Contract Administrator: Mr Welch or Contracting Officer Mrs Lacy (209) 726-2555. Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor and equipment necessary to close base water wells 7, 8 and 9 in Castle Military Family Housing. Wells shall be sealed to prevent any possible contamination to the clean aquifers by way of the abandoned wells-contaminated waters seeping through the well and into the different aquifers. Three pumps, one 910 GPM and two 1200 GPM, set at approximately 140 feet below ground surface, will have to be extracted before sealing actions on the well can be started. Four metal buildings, building and well cap foundations, one valve pit, one meter pit, and one surge tank shall be demolished completely, and the area returned to match surrounding landscape. Performance period is 60 calendar days. The estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation is a SDB set-aside potential. However, business concerns other than SDB's are invited to bid. If SDB bids are determined to be more than 10% above the fair market price (reference DFARS 219.502-2-70 (a)(2)), this acquisition will be converted to unrestricted.
