70 -- 70 -- UNIX TRAINING CLASSES SOL YE-135145 POC Contracting Officer: David Essex Phone: (615) 751-2056 TVA intends to purchase the following goods or services by Competitive Negotiation: Unix/Solaris training. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is soliciting sources who can provide Unix/Solaris training on a Hewlett Packard platform and a Sun MicroSystems platform. The training shall include courses on Unix, VI Editor, Unix Utilities, C Programming Language, K Shell, TCP/IP, NFS, and Solaris Administration. Training shall be provided by certified Hewlett Packard or Sun MicroSystems Instructors utilizing certified courseware. Instruction shall be provided at the contractor's training location within the Tennessee Valley or within a 200-mile radius of Nashville, Tennessee. Responses shall contain a cost per student rate and a cost per class rate for each of the courses stated previously. The response shall also contain the costs for each of the aforementioned courses to be taught at the Information Services Education facilities utilizing TVA's hardware at Chattanooga, Knoxville and Spring City, Tennessee; Huntsville and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This cost should also include estimated travel and other travel-related expenses. Term of the contract will be for one (1) year with two (2) one-year optional extensions. Solicitation will issue approximately 15 days after the close of this synopsis. Written responses containing the requested information must be received within 15 days after the initial publication of this synopsis.
