Z -- PRESOLICITATION - REPAIR FLAME DEFLECTOR SYSTEM SOL IFB 10-95-O038 DUE 062695 POC Jack Massey, Contracting Officer, OP-ESO-A, 407-867-7230. The work to be performed consists of providing all management, labor, equipment and materials to repair the SRB Flame Deflector at Launch Pad 39A and 39B at Kennedy Space Center. The project scope requires the contractor to repair the SRB Flame Deflector at Pad 39A and to repair a portion of the flame trench floor at Pads 39A and 39B. The work includes removal and replacement of welded structural steel members, the addittion of welded steel reinforceing plates, abrasive blasting and coating, and removal and replacement of refractory concrete. The project scope will include one (1) additive alternate encompassing the abrasive blasting and coating of the remaining one-half of the Orbiter Flame Deflector. All work is to be accomplished in accordance with KSC Drawing 79K33961 and KSC Specification 79K33962.--Plan to issue sol. pkg. on or about 5/26/95.--Magnitude of project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.--Duration of contract: 365 calendar days.--Point of contact for sol. pkg.
