deliver F.O.B., Waterways Experiment Station, one (1) modular, walk-in
environmental testing chamber of approximately 490 cubic feet and
associated temperature conditioning equipment. The following features
are required: temperature range of -34 deg. C to 85 deg. C;temperature
control of + or - 1 deg. C after stabilization; humidity range of 10%
to 95% relative humidity as limited by a 4 deg. C minimum dewpoint, a
70 deg. C maximum dry bulb, and a 63 deg. C maximum wet bulb; humidity
control of + or - 4% relative humidity after stabilization; should
maintain -20 deg. F with 1200 watt live load; exterior dimensions
should be approximately 7'9'' deep x 10'8'' wide x 8'6'' high. The
condenser shall be water-cooled and remote from the evaporator; mounted
on top of the chamber. The condenser shall be a shell and tube type
designed for a maximum 11 deg. C temperature difference between the
cooling water and the refrigerant condensing temperature at maximum
system efficiency. The programmable controller shall have integral
digital display product high/low temperature limit, run time meter, and
an independent sensor. The contractor shall provide at least one
individual for installation, testing, and operational instruction.
