A -- DESIGN CONTRACT FOR THE MEDICARE BENEFICIARY HEALTH STATUS RE GISTRY SOL HCFA 95-060/ELA POC Equilla L. Allen, Contract Specialist, 410-966-5150. The Health Care Financing Administration has a requirement for a contractor to develop the final design of a survey entitled the Medicare Beneficiary Health Status Registry. The purpose is to collect information on the health status of Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare Beneficiary Health Status Registry will be a longitudinal data base containing health status information on Medicare beneficiaries from the time of enrollment into Medicare until death. The Registry will be composed of information obtained by periodic surveys linked at the person-level to the Medicare administrative files maintained by HCFA. The primary goals of the registry are: (1) to monitor the health status of Medicare beneficiaries and (2) to provide data to evaluate the relationship between the use and costs of health care services provided by Medicare and the health of beneficiaries. The government anticipates a 9 month period of performance. Request for copies of RFP HCFA 95-060/ELA must be in writing, cite the RFP No. and title and be submitted to the designated office within fifteen (15) calendar days of this solicitation.
