C -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR A/E SERVICES FOR THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Due 061295. Contact Chi Hung, A/E (910) 665-2816. The contract is for the IQC A/E Services for the design and preparation of contract documents with options for contract administration and inspection services for the repair and/or alteration of postal facilities in the state of North Carolina. The contract will be for one year with four one-year renewal options for a total of five years. Individual work orders will be negotiated for each project. Individual work orders cannot exceed $100,000 each. The total amount of work that may be issued per 12-month period is $500,000. The total amount of work ordered over the five year period cannot exceed $2,500,000. Firm that have the qualifications to perform the services described are invited to submit completed SF 255, ``Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project'', and a completed SF 254'' Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire.'' Also submit a completed SF 254 for each proposed consultant. All submittals are to be postmarked no later than June 9, 1995. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate of their SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference: 1.) Firms located within 25 miles of the city of Greensboro. 2.) Firms located within 50 miles of the city of Greensboro. 3.) Firms located within the state of North Carolina. Architectural and engineering firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in 25 miles of the city of Greensboro or they have a local branch office and all of the architectural design, coordination, and management of project will be performed in that office. There is no restriction of the geographical location of consultants. The minimum accpetable architect and engineering complement of the prime firm and consultants is 2 architects, 1 electrical engineer, 1 mechanical engineer, 1 structural engineer and 1 civil engineer. The contract contains a requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance in the amount of not less than $200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. At the desecration of the Contracting Officer, multiple awards may be awarded. Participation of minority-owned businesses is a consideration in U.S. Postal Service Architect-Engineer selections. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for the project. No other notification for this project will be made. Submissions will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals. (131)
