N -- INSTALLATION OF GOVERNMENT FURNISHED UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS) SYSTEMS FOR THE BANGOR, MAINE AND BURLINGTON, VERMONT AUTOMAED FLIGHT SERVICE STATIONS (AFSS) Sol. DTFA12-95-B-00074. Install Goernment furnished equipment which includes a 622.5 KW uninterruptible power supply (UPS), batteries, power distribution unit (PDU) and a manual bypass switch. Also furnish and install a new HVAC unit and provide transportion, loading/unloading, handling, installation, connections, panelboard, circuit breakers, feeders, branch circuits, modifications, servicing testing and all incidentals. All work shall be performed for two FAA facilities, the Bangor, Maine and Burlington, Vermont Automated Flight Service Statins. This is full and open competitive requirement. Prospective vendors may bid on one or both facilities. A $20.00 non-refundable charge is required for the bid package. Requests for bid package. Special note for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportatin (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contact. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
