The work to be performed under this contract includes: cnstruction of a new vocational shop building with shops for carpentry, plastering, cement masonry and building/apartment maintenance at the Sacramento Job Corps Center located in Sacramento, California. The building is a masonry and steel structure of approximately 18,000 GSF. The work shall include miscellaneous site improvements in the form of general landscaping, parking, installation of utility lines and site/security lighting. This contract also includes the replacement of approximately 24,000 GSF of deteriorated roofs at Building Nos. 210, 220, 400, 500A, 500B, 500C, 600A, 600B and 600C. The existing facilities at the center must remain in operation during construction. Construction time is scheduled for 280 calendar days to substantial completion. The estimated cost range for construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Plans and specifications are available for pick-up at the above-mentioned A/E's Office. Requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The Non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for June 29, 1995, at 8:30 a.m. local time.
