This is to change the title and description of ''Fan Sweep Echo Sounder'' to ''Multi-Beam, single head, echosounder''. The proposed contract is for one (1) Multi-beam, single head, echosounder. The device will be used to help gather x,y,z coordinates to construct digital surfaces of the sea floor to a depth of 40 meters or more. The device's senser will be mounted on a 24 ft. aluminum boat, mid-ship near the keel. It will collect at least one digitized point per square meter at a vessel speed of 5 knots in a water depth of 6 m, also cover a width greater than three times the depth. The sensor shall not be larger than 20 cm. wide, 30 cm. front to rear, and 55 cm. top to bottom. The weight shall be less than 20 kg. The top side display/processing unit shall weigh less than 15 kg. The device shall allow for collection of full sonar images and full digitized profiles. The output of the device shall be compatible with Coastal Oceangraphic's hydrographic survey collection system, and a TSS 335 heave, pitch and role sensor. The devices resolution of the bottom shall be 5 cm. or better. The device will operate from 110 VAC or 24 VDC.
