(303) 236-5900 x 332 The USGS has a requirement to purchase a quantity
of five (5) 5-in. and a quantity of three (3) 8-in. pneumatic packers.
The 5-in. packers will be used in conducting pneumatic testing in small
diameter vertical boreholes. The 5- in. packers will also be used to
construct a second 5-in. packer assembly to operate as a backup to the
first 5-in. assembly and to allow future cross-hole testing between
ODEX reamed boreholes. The 8-in. packers will be used in conducting
pneumatic testing in vertical boreholes. The 8-in. packers will also be
used to construct a backup packer assembly that will be used should one
of the two surface based cross=hole systems fail. All of the packers
shall be assembled in a straddle arrangement forming a central
injection interval bounded by upper and lower guard intervals. The
central injection interval is used to inject gas into the formation,
and the guard interval monitors for borehole leakage around the central
packers. The items are FOB Destination, USGS, Mercury, Nevada. Delivery
within sixty (60) days after contract award. The due date for
submission is on or about forty-five (45) days after the date of
publication of this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer
