Aldridge, (215)897-5457 The FISC Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to acquire 14 EA. Kardios Systems Corporation Intelligent Communications Control (ICC) Systems, P/N 88-090, in support of the Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility (FACSFAC) Air Control Tracking System (FACTS) Upgrade, commonly known as FACTS 3200. The subject equipment will be acquired through other than full and open competition on a Sole Source (BRAND-NAME MANDATORY) Basis from Kardios Systems Corporation, Gaithersburg, MD., or an authorized supplier of the required equipment. The specified equipment was designed to be compatible with the Concurrent Computer Corporation Processors used in the FACTS 3200 System and is the only ICC with the unique capabilities required to meet the Government's minimum requirements. A Firm Fixed Priced Contract is anticipated. The requiring activity is the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, PAX, Det. St. Inigoes, MD. See Note('s) # 22. (0135)
