Johnson, (205) 544-6422 CSC intends to issue a subcontract for annual maintenance services for Cisco routers to Cisco Systems, Inc., San Jose, CA. The services required are available from only one source and no other type of services will satisfy proprietary requirements. The proposed contract action is for services for which CSC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e., technical specifications, brochures, and price lists) in the areas of proprietary hardware and software. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the required information may be considered non-responsive to the synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis. A determination not to compete this proposed subcontract on a full and open competition basis, based upon the responses to the synopsis, is solely within the discretion of CSC.
