Officer. The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis
with Intergraph Corporation for hardware and software maintenance. The
following is a partial list of the hardware and software to be
serviced: Workstations (InterAct 220, InterPro 2020, 2430, 6240, and
6450, InterView 2020), V80 Screen Plotter, 5.0GB Cartridge Tape Drive,
Versatec 8624 Plotters, Servers (IS6700, InterServe 2000), Eagle
Scanners, CD-ROM Disk Drives, 42 X 60 Backlit Digitizing Table, Menu
and Cursors, 18 X 24 Digitizers, Transceivers w/ Cable Tap, Ethernet
Bridge, TCP/IP, NFS, MicroStation X, MicroStation 32 CSL, Apogee
Clipper C and FORTRAN Compilers, InterPlot, IT9RAS Driver, V80 Driver
and Plotting, I_MGUI, CCITT Group 3 Driver, Workstation System Software
(CLIX), MGE Projection Manager, I/RASC, Versatec Monochrome Raster
Device Driver, I/SCAN, and Eagle Scanner Drivers. For a complete list
of equipment and software, please contact the contract specialist. This
notice is to cover the new acquisition of maintenance for a base period
of one year plus one additional one year option. The equipment/software
is located in Camp Springs, Maryland and Miami, Florida. Maintenance is
required 24 hours per day, seven days per week. On-call maintenance is
required with a response time of two hours during the principal period
of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday thru Friday excluding Federal Holidays.
Per-call service, with a four hour response time is required outside
the principal period. The maintenance is to include software upgrades
and telephone support for both software and hardware problem resolution
and questions. Vendors who believe they can satisfy the Government's
requirements are invited to submit an affirmative response. To be
considered an affirmative response, vendors must submit written data
and documentation which demonstrates an ability to maintain the
hardware and software specified. All responsible sources may respond by
submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including
detailed technical information and other technical literature. The
response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis in order to
determine a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. A
determination by the Government not to open the requirement to
competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within its
description. Affirmative written responses must be received within 45
