Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for the design,
fabrication, delivery, installation and testing of one (1) automatic
cylindrical Intaglio Image Transfer System (IITS) to be used at the
Washington, D. C. facility. The system will be used to transfer images
from a raised image molette onto a copper clad steel printing sleeve.
The system shall include a printing sleeve mounting mandreal with
hydraulic nuts for pressing the printing sleeve onto and off the
mandrel and a mechanical material handling system. Delivery of the IITS
shall be 336 days after contract award. All offerors shall submit a
written request for RFP No. BEP-95-05(TN) within fifteen (15) calendar
days of the date of this announcement, Attn: Gail D. Boger. All
requests must include a statement on the company's size status (i.e.,
Large, Small, Minority, or Woman-Owned). This announcement was
previously published in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD). If your firm
has already responded, it is not necessary to respond to this CBD
announcement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
