This public notice is to request suppliers to provide NTT with general referential information on similar products or technology prior to procurement of the intended product (mentioned below) by NTT. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. This public notice is not intended to guarantee public notification of procurement of the product. (1) Name: Premises Automatic Distribution Frame. (2) Overview: Automatic Distribution Frame is a connecting device for premises cabling system. It provides cross-connections without patch cords or cross connect jumpers (for example, those with internal switching), controlled through a computer. (3) Contents of RFI: NTT is inviting the following types of information on a product or technology similar to the above-mentioned system. Once information is offered, these are regarded as non secret one, and it is possible that these information is opened to the public in procurement or used by others. NTT is not responsible for controlling, opening and using of the information. (i) Technical information: (a) Distribution frame: Main feature, Main direction for use (for example, floor intermediate distribution frame), Switching capacity (for example, 50x100 pair), Electrical characteristics (for example, attenuation, near end crosstalk loss, return loss, etc.), Supported application (for example, analog telephone, 100 BASE-TX etc.), Reference standards (ISO/IEC DIS 11801, EIA/TIA-568-A), Control interface specification, Environment (temperature, humidity, power supply voltage), Physical dimension, Weight. (b) Control equipment: Main feature, System configuration (personal computer, OS, memory size, etc.), Control functions, Operating method, GUI, Security, Indication of machine state/warning/function of test. (ii) Prices: Unit price, Optional component price, Standard model price, Maintenance fee. (iii) Standard delivery term after receiving order.
