318/473-7522. Furnish Heavy Maintenance and Repair Services for a
Government-Owned DC-9-10 Series 15 aircraft. Services will include but
not be limited to a ``D'' check, SB57-125R5 and AD922208. The
scheduled maintenance to be contracted will be performed at the
contractor's location. The contractor must hanger the aircraft for all
maintenance service. An adequate runway must be available to the
contractor at his/her facility. The contractor must be an FAA certified
Airframe Class Four and Engine Class Three repair station, or possess
the necessary FAA limited ratings for the work to be performed. The
contractor must have performed at least three DC-9/MD-80 ``D'' check or
heavy maintenance equivalent inspections in the past four years.
Avionics inspection, repair, and modification must be provided by the
contractor. The contractor must have the capability to provide adequate
personnel to complete all maintenance in a 60 day period of time. In
the event aircraft requires maintenance or repair at other than the
contractor's location, the contractor must have the capability to
provide maintenance and repair support at the site of the aircraft at
locations anywhere in the continental United States, Puerto Rico,
Jamaica, and Havana, Cuba. It is intended to award an indefinite
delivery, requirements, time and material type contract for an initial
period of one (1) year with four (4) - one year option periods, which,
if exercised, could extend the performance period to a total of five
(5) years. All bids received will be evaluated for the initial one (1)
year period plus the four (4) option periods. This contract is subject
to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown.
Wage determinations have been requested for Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX;
Miami, FL; Lake City, FL; Birmingham, AL; Greenville, SC; Everett, WA;
Mobile, AL; Phoenix, AZ; Minneapolis, MN; Oklahoma City, OK; Little
Rock, AR; Pineville, LA; Alexandria LA; and Wheeling, WV. The
contracting officer will request wage determinations for additional
localities if asked to do so in writing by 4:30 PM, Central Daylight
Savings Time, June 6, 1995. Tentative Bid Opening Date is on or about
(O/A) July 11, 1995. All requests for this solicitation must be
