Phone (703)604-1920 Bell-Boeing will conduct a competition for the
government among trainer industry sources for the procurement of a V-22
maintenance trainer suite. This effort will be acquired in two phases.
Under phase 1, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a
delivery order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement with
Bell-Boeing that will provide for Bell-Boeing to conduct a full and
open competition among trainer industry sources for the procurement of
a V-22 maintenance trainer suite. Under phase 2, the Naval Air Systems
Command intends to negotiate and issue a contract to Bell-Boeing Joint
Program Office, Suite 401, Crystal Gateway One, 1235 Jefferson Davis
Hwy, Arlington, VA 22202, for the procurement of the V-22 maintenance
trainer. Under this contract action, Bell-Boeing will issue a
subcontract to the winner of the competition conducted under phase 1
and will provide their subcontract management efforts. Bell-Boeing is
the sole designer and producer of the V-22 aircraft and is the only
firm capable of providing the requisite technical data to the
subcontractor competitively selected to design, fabricate and deliver
the V-22 maintenance trainer suite. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis
