Intra-Alaskan air transportation services utilizing contractor-furnished, all-cargo, IFR-equipped, multi-engine aircraft, with a minimum ACL of 25,000 pounds, capable of operating on gravel airfields. Aircraft must be equipped with a rollerized cargo handling/loading system, be capable of accommodating 463L system cargo pallets, and be able to accommodate 78 inch high cargo. Estimated 40,000 Great Circle Statute Miles. This requirement is for a twelve month performance period beginning 1 October 1995 and includes a ``not to exceed'' 6 month performance extension as authorized by FAR 52.217-8. An offeror must be an air carrier and hold a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity issued under Section 401 of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, as amended, or is otherwise authorized by the DOD to engage in air transportation services and hold an air carrier's Operating Certificate issued by the FAA under Part 121 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR 121) for airlift operated by the offeror. Further, the offeror must have aircraft in the Civil Reserve Air Fleet or offer to place aircraft in such fleet upon request of the DOD. (135)
