SOLICITATION NOTICE - This Invitation for Bids is for the procurement of repairs, improvements and safety related work for 187 family housing units. The work includes site work, wood fence removal, grubbing, tree removal, hydro blasting, painting, repair/relace siding, new exterior doors, garage doors, screen doors. Interior - remove loose vinyl asbestos tile, lead containing ceramic tile, install 1 HR separation between common walls of duplex units and 1 HR separation between garage and living area. Remodel baths, repair flooring, install new carpet and sheet vinyl, paint interior walls, doors as indicated, smoke detectors, bath light fixtures and other general related work. Estimated construction cost is between $1million and $5million. Contract duration is approximately 360 calendar days. The proposed contract is RESTRICTED. This project is being solicited as a 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESSES ONLY. A small disadvantaged business is defined as a ''small business concern, owned and controlled by individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged, as defined by the Small Business Administration at 13 CFR Part 124''. Bids received from businesses other than a SDB will be considered as non-responsive. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1521 and the related small business size standard is $17million.
