Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION, INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR PAINTING OF VARIOUS BUILDINGS AT NAS MEMPHIS MILLINGTON, TN Sol. N62467-95-B-5274. Due 070595. Furnish all labor, tools, equiment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide the preparation of surfaces for, and the interior and exterior painting of portions of various buildings, all as designated by Delivery Orders that will be issued to the Contractor. In addition to the normal surface preparation requird for painting, preparation of surfaces shall also include: the replacement of rotted or otherwise deteriorated or missing wood such as faxcia boards, corner boards, window and door trim, etc., where these items are to be painted; replacing broken, missing, or damaged exterior siding where items are to be painted; and patching surfaces to be painted such as concrete, concrete block, plaster, and wallboard. The Contractor will be required to remove and replace all building screens, window guards, storm windows, removable signs and building numbers, unless directed otherwise, (when these items occur over surfaces to be painted). All building signs and numbers that are painted on structures are to remain intact and no repainting of these signs and numbers is required. This work will also include the surface preparation and painting of nonfriable cement asbestos shingle siding. This contract also includes the requirement to provide new cement asbestos siding shingles to replace missing cement asbestos siding shingles. However, removal of damaged/deteriorated cement asbestos siding shingles is not a part of this contract. The removal of damaged/deteriorated cement asbestos siding shingles will be accomplished by others. The voids where siding shingles have been removed will be considered ``missing siding shingles'' and providing new cement asbestos siding shingles for these areas is a part of this contract. Time for completion is 12 months. This project is a firm fixed price construction project. Cost estimate is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Solicitation will issue on or about June 1, 1995.
