The work consist of replacing all the kitchen cabinets, flooring, and painting all the kitchens in 190 family housing units. Also provide new range hoods, dishwashers, sinks, faucets, and electrical in these units. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1522. Performance time is 360 days. A tentative issue date of 05 June 1995 is established to make documents available. All requests shall indicate business status as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. This acquisition will be set-aside for SDBs; however, business concerns other than SDBs are invited to bid. If at time of bid opening, SDB bids are determined to be more than 10 percent above the fair market price, this acquisition will be converted to unrestricted. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. All SDB concerns bids shall be opened not less than 30 days from issuance. All other bids must be received by the first bid opening established in the solicitation. If the contracting officer determines that none of the SDB bids fall within 10% of the fair market price, a second bid opening will be conducted to open the balance of the bids.
