The Patent & Trademark Office (PTO) intends to enter into a negotiated Sole Source maintenance contract with Amdahl Federal Service Corporation, 12020 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 22091 to provide 24 hours, 7 days a week maintenance for the following Gov't-Owned Equipment located in Crystal Park 2, 11th Fl., Crystal City, Va: Amdahl 5990-1400 Central Processor & Associated Master Operator Console, Amdahl 6100-400 Storage Processors, Amdahl 6100-200 Storage Processors, Amdahl 6100-100 Storage Processors, Amdahl 638OJ Direct Access Storage Devices, Amdahl 6380K Direct Access Storage Devices, and Amdahl 6390-2 Direct Access Storage Devices. The period of performance is for four (4) years (base year & 3 option years). Amdahl currently provides maintenance for the above mentioned equipment. In accordance with FAR.6.302-1, the PTO believes that only one source, the incumbent contractor (Amdahl), can supply the OEM spare parts necessary to perform this maintenance and the necessary experience and the ability to meet the requirements set forth above. This is not a request for proposal. However, any firm that can meet the requirements is requested to submit in writing within fifteen (15) days of publication of this Notice, complete detailed documentation, applicable pricing & any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet our maintenance requirement.
