The Navy plans to issue an additional ''bridge'' extension to Contract N00024-89-D-4013 with Global Associates/Phillips Cartner & Co. (GPC), 2420 Camino Ramon, San Ramon, CA 94583, for providing labor, equipment, and materials to perform all phases of salvage-related off-shore oil and other hazardous substance pollution control operations, and to provide logistics support for all ESSM equipment when deployed for field operations. This extension will commence 1 July 1995 and continue through 30 September 1995, or until the currently ongoing competitive reprocurement is awarded. The modification will also contain an option for another three-month period in the event same is needed. GPC is the incumbent contractor and the only source capable of ensuring uninterrupted continuity of services pending completion of the competitive process for the successor contract.
