3398 A -- ENHANCEMENTS TO AN ADVANCED COUPLED CSD/CFD TOOL SOL
DNA001-92-C-0158 POC Thomas L. Cox, Negotiator, (703) 325-1196, Scott
G. Morton, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-1200. The objective of this
contrat modification is to markedly enhance the Advanced Integrated
CSD/CFD Analysis Tool. This is to develop a state-of-the-art Integrated
Computational Structural Dynamics (CSD) and Computational Fluid
Dynamics (CFD) tool. The tool enables analysis of complicated three
dimensional (3-D) coupled CSD/CFD problems. The approach adopted by
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) involve
innovative techniques that prohibit other organizations from
participation. Development/generation of three dimesional unstructured
grids of arbitrary connectivity for both the fluid and the structure;
adaptive refinement and flexible time-stepping applied to the fully
coupled fluid and structure response. Contemplated period of
performance is 26 months. The Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) intends to
award a sole source contract to SAIC for the above services on the
basis that DNA has determined that only SAIC possesses the prerequisite
knowledge and background for satisfactory performance. No copies of the
solicitation are available. This synopsis is for information only. For
information contact Thomas L. Cox at (703) 325-1196. Information on
DNA solicitations, already released, can be obtained by calling the DNA
Hotline at (703) 325-1173. Reference Synopsis No.95-53 (0138) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0005 19950519\A-0005.SOL)
