Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates the award of a
cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to identify both currently available
disinfection systems for infectious waste and to evaluate the
effectiveness of all engineering controls in protecting the worker from
aerosols (biological and nonbiological), chemical, and safety hazards
(e.g., noise, microwave radiation, material handling, etc.)in medical
waste treatment facilities. The contemplated period of performance is
18 months. The scheduled issue date is approximately June 16, 1995.
Requests for solicitation must cite RFP 200-95-2960(P). The RFP due
date is approximately 35 days after solicitation release date. No
telephone requests - - only written requests directly from the
requestor will be honored. All responsible sources should submit a
