Specialist, 601-634- 2649 The USAE Waterways Experiment Station (WES)
intends to award a contract to Columbus Instruments, Columbus, Ohio,
under author- ity 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) for purchase of a compost
reactor to be used in bioremediation studies of soil and sediment
contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and above ground
treatment of explosives/organic contaminated soils and sediments. The
system must be commercially available. To meet project require- ments
the system must have four chamber capacity, CO2 upgrade to extend range
(0-10%) and sensor upgrade (10-21% Range), air supply pump (20LPM),
four ventilation/temp controllers (5 LPM), and four 40 Liter compost
chambers. The system must be capable of accommodating two different
vessels, both adiabatic and nonadia- batic. Four nonadiabatic compost
vessels with a total volume of no less than 20 liters must be provided.
These should be able to be manually rotated 180 degrees around the
horizontal axis once a day during operation. Required delivery time is
30 days after receipt of notice of award. In the event no other
sources are found, the U.S. Government intends to award a contract to
Colum- bus Instruments. Solicitation documents are not available. Any
