D -- SOFTWARE LOADING, BURN-IN, AND TESTING OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS (PC'S) SOL MRH-051695. Point of Contact, Mr. M. Richard Hofsheier, 919/541-1906, Subcontract Manager, FAX, 919/541-0930. Martin Marietta is seeking qualified sources of supply to perform software loading, burn-in and testing services on PCs that will be supplied by Martin Marietta. If Martin Marietta is tasked to perform this work, the required service may be out-sourced to a qualified vendor providing the best value and who can prove their demonstrated experience. If a solicitation is performed, the specification will include a requirement to perform the service in the greater Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina area, in close proximity to Research Triangle Park (RTP). The bidding will be open to all qualified sources regardless of location providing the actual work is performed in or near RTP. Estimated quantities may be up to and exceed 5200 systems per year with a peak capacity of 700 systems per month. Burn-in time will be from 24 to 48 hours per system. Target date for performance start is 1 October 1995. Actual contract award prior to performance start is estimated to allow for sufficient time to mobilize facility and resources.
