This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract with ELECTROCOM Automation, L.P. (ECA) for maintenance services on twenty (20) Composite Mail Processing Systems (COMPS) manufactured by ECA and located in the ten (10) IRS Service Centers in the United States. Additionally, the scope of work includes replacing the computers (hardware, software and peripherals) that operate the COMPS Systems. This acquisition will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. All sources may identify their capabilities by submitting a description of the services offered. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis.
