Command is conducting a sources sought announcement to determine the
availability and capability of parties interested in P-3C Aircraft
Phased Depot Maintenance work. The requirement is for performing six
PDMs on P-3C aircraft. The first induction will be September 1995, with
subsequent indictions approximately every two months and completion of
the six PDMs by October 1996. P-3C Aircraft PDM includes: inbound
functional/ operational checks including fuel tank leak tests; paint
strip and disassembly; inspection of selected zones including extensive
corrosion inspecting of all exterior and selected interior areas;
performance of selected structurally significant item inspection by Non
Destructive Inspection (NDI) processes; removal and replacement of time
change components assigned to depot level exceeding specified
replacement intervals; repair as required (including corrosion
processing and major structural repairs and repair of all fuel leaks in
all fuel cells) to ensure the serviceability until the next sequential
PDM induction (4 years); reassembly, reseal, and repaint; and outbound
operational and functional checks including fuel leak tests and
functional check flight. Interested prime contractor sources should
provide a written summary of qualifications and capabilities, as well
as any recent relevent work performed by the company, by 5 June 1995.
