This project consists of construction of the Bob Lyons Station, Galveston, Texas. The site is located at the corner of 59th and Broadway Streets in Galveston, Galveston County, Texas. The building consists of a one-story facility with 25,400 adjusted gross interior square feet of floor space with the major portion utilized as workroom/warehouse type area. Retail store is included with the standard detailing for finishes and cabinetry. Site includes maneuvering areas for loading docks, carrier parking, and loading slab. Canopy is included over 15 vehicle spaces. Customer parking for 46 vehicles; carrier and employee parking for an additional 110 spaces. Structural grid of 20 x 40' primarily used. Masonry exterior veneer, four roof-top units and single-ply roofing with tapered rigid insulation. Estimated cost range $2,300,000 - $2,500,000 and construction time is 240 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on June 15, 1995.
