This Center intends to procure, on a Sole Source basis, from following firm, Texas Instruments, Inc., for the following goods or services: A Texas Instruments 1 watt cryogenic cooler with control electronics, part number 2954084, cooling capacity 1.0 W load to 80 K at 20 degrees C, maximum input power 60 W (cryocooler and control electronics), input voltage range 17 to 32 VDC, operating temperature range -54 degrees C to 71 degrees C, cryogenic temperature regulation + or - 3K over operating range, 0.1K at temperature, operating vacuum 10(-5) Torr or better, maximum leak rate 10(-7) cc/sec, maximum cooler generated noise 60 dB at 1m (octave bands 125 Hz to 8000 Hz), maximum cooler generated vibration 0.5 lbf., maximum total weight 5 pounds, minimum operating life 4000 hours (continuous or cycled), and a two inch straight transfer tube between the compressor and the expander. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
