A performance specification will be used and unique Military requirements include tie-downs, CARC paint and STE-Ice/R interface. The minimum estimated quantity is 56 cranes, and the estimted 5-yr. Total quantity is up to 450. Offerors will be required to provide, at NO COST to the Government, concurrently with their offer; a Model of the Crane being offered for a general perfor mance assessment to include travel speed off-Road mobility, lifting capacity and human factors. This assessment will take place at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Selection of a contractor will be based on best value evaluation criteria, and results of the assessment will be used by the article test of initial production item will be used by the source selection evaluation Board as part of the proposal evaluation. First article test of initial production item will be conducted and the contractor will provide manuals, new equipment training and provisioning data.
