Technology (NIST), plans to acquire from Dr. Quan-Long Pu, 4801
Fairmont Avenue, Apt. 514 Bethesda, MD 20814, original mass spectra of
compounds from the collection of chemical compounds available at
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and the National Institute of
Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease. NIH mass spectrometric
laboratories have access to a large collection of specialized
compounds, for which we need to acquire mass spectra for inclusion in
the database, which is distributed by NIST. NIH will only allow
privileges to utilize their laboratories for the unique collection of
biomedical compounds, to Dr. Pu. The rate of collection required is 200
spectra per month for 12 months. The period of performance is for a
base year and four option years. Collection of this data shall commence
within two weeks after date of this contract award. We intend to
solicit one source under authority of FAR 6.302.1. Interested offerors
may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirements by submitting a capability statement. The capability
statement must provide adequate information of supplying this type of
supply, and qualifications to provide the supplies. All of the above
must be received for the Government to consider whether to open this
request for competition. This notice of intent is not a request for
competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received
within 45 days after date of this synopsis, will be considered by the
