Debra Hoffman (301) 975-4648/C.O Pauline Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD
intends to purchase a cryogenic, electrical substitution radiometer
system for use in measuring radiant power levels of approximately 100
nW to 100 uW in the spectral range from approximately 200 nm through 2
um. The system will be used in a NIST-provided ultrahigh vacuum
chamber to accurately measure monochromatized radiation generated by an
electron storage ring and dispersed by a vacuum monochromator. The
system shall be capable of measuring input irradiation levels of 1 to
100 uW with absolute uncertainty of no greater than 0.05% (one standard
deviation) over the indicated spectral range. The base period of the
contract shall consist of design of the required radiometer system and
shall last no longer than sixty (60) days commencing with acceptance
of the contract. The option period shall consist of the construction,
assembly, testing, and delivery of the operating radiometer system as
designed in the base period and shall last no longer than 120 days from
the time the option is exercised. Additionally, NIST shall have a
period of sixty (60) days for test and evaluation prior to final
acceptance. The award of a firm, fixed-price contract is anticipated.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered
by the agency. Please request copies of the solicitation in writing.
