Warminster, PA 18974-0591 seeks to identify qualified sources for an
airborne, handheld and eyesafe laser range finder. The range finder
shall be operational from slant ranges of 10 kmeters minimally to 20 km
from an airborne platform with necessary stabilization. The laser shall
be CLASS I eyesafe, have an accuracy better than 7 kmeters, and weigh
no more than 5 pounds. When operating from the airborne platform, it
shall be powered by standard 28 V DC aircraft power. The unit will
potentially be mechanically integrated and boresighted with other

sensors. Qualified sources must also provide information explaining
stabilization criteria and previous test/delivery results of similar or
the same units. We contemplate immediate demonstration of systems on a
P3 Aircraft. This is not a Request for Proposal, nor is it an
Invitation for Bids and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
Government to ultimately issue an IFB, RFP, RFQ, or contract. All
interested sources are to send information to Danny Rajan, MS-85, Naval
