WELTZER, CONTRACTING OFFICER, PH (210) 652-5111 CNT F41691-95-R0040 The United States Air Force has a requirement to purchase computer based instruction and electronics trainers to teach fundamentals of electronic theory and troubleshooting principles at Keesler AFB Biloxi MS and Lackland AFB San Antonio TX. Estmate purchasing one software site license to support entire Air Force and up to 435 electronic trainers over a two year period. The software must be capable of presenting theory lessons and interacting with an electronics trainer to step students through hands-on experiments. The Government will provide 486DX IBM compatible computers to support the software and interface with the trainer. As a minimum, the following electronics lessons must be taught: DC circuits, AC circuits, solid state devices, digital circuits, electon tubes, transmit and receive systems, microprocessors and computers, electromagnetic devices and microprocessor troubleshooting, AC and DC motors and generators synchros and Servos, transducers and fiber optics. The Government reserves the right to consider the acquisition for the 8(a) program, Small Disadvantaged Business Set-aside, or Small Business Set-aside based upon the responses received. The applicble standard industrial classification (SIC) number is 3571.
