inter- American Development Bank (Idb) have signed a non- reimbursable
technical cooperation agreement whose purpose is to cooperate in the
financing of the design and implementation of Health Policy reforms the
Ministry of Health and Sports is the executing agency of this Project
the Project will be executed over a period of thirty-six months its
objectives are (a) to increase the ability of the Ministry of Health to
identify, design, implement and evaluate strategies and policies to
improve the efficiency, equity and quality of the Health care system;
(B) to assist the Government of Belize to prepare a Health sector
investment Project and the required documentation for a loan request to
Idb the Project has three components (1) technical assistance for
design and implementation of Policy reforms; (2) training; (3)
preparation of an investment Project the Government of Belize invites
prequalification applications from consulting firms for the consulting
services required for the Project only consulting firms from member
countries of Idb will be eligible for consideration for shortlisting
and possible selection to determine the nationality of a consulting
firm the criteria applicable to the utilization of Idb financing will
be used consulting firms applying for prequalification must be
competent in the English language applications will be evaluated in
accordance with the following criteria (1) General background and
organization (2) similar work experience (3) prior experience in
countries with similar conditions (4) financial capability (5) the
utilization of local consultants (6) fluency in the English language
consulting firms must be registered with the Idb firms who are not
registered are advised to fill out and complete a ''dacon''
registration form with the Idb expressions of interest must include a
copy of the ''dacon'' registration form. Firms wishing to prequalify
May obtain prequalification documents, including questionnaires, from
the address above every application for the prequalification document
must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of USDOLS 50 to cover
shipping and handling costs the completed and sealed prequalification
questionnaire should be clearly marked '' prequalification for
consulting services for the Health Policy Reform Project'' and must
reach the Ministry of Health and Sports no later than 1400 hours on
