D -- UPGRADE OF SECURITY COMPUTER SYSTEM SOL RFP-FMS-95-0017 POC Tonya Kreps, Contract Specialist, (202) 874-6634. The Financial Management Service (FMS), Department of the Treasury, has a requirement that addresses the functional and some technical requirements for replacement/upgrade of the security computer and security-related software equipment at the FMS' Central Security Station Prince Georges Metro Center II Building in Hyattsville, MD 20782. To ensure continuing ability to comply with the recommendations of the Joint Security Commission, the new system shall use integrated system hardware and software, be upgradable, and shall match (be totally compatible with) the security system to be installed at the Kansas City Regional Finance Center (KCRFC). That system is the Kodak Edicon Envoy System 7000. The installed integrated system shall incorporate the necessary equipment and software to detect, process and analyze alarms, advisories, and access requests in accordance with FMS security procedures. The Security Computer Upgrade System shall support, without undue delay, any alarm and the normal flow of authorized personnel/property through controlled access points to ensure and maintain operating efficiency. The primary purpose and objective of this acquisition is to obtain a turnkey, integrated security system that shall ensure the integrity of FMS controlled access sites. The completed upgrade system shall incorporate the necessary equipment and software to control access, detect, process, and analyze alarms or advisories and monitor designated property movement in and out of facilities in accordance with security and property management procedures. The new integrated system shall provide for formatted and ad hoc security management reports. An IDIQ contract is contemplated, with a base period of FY95 and two available option periods.
